Frequently asked questions
What is Orion Eclipse?
Eclipse is Orion's next generation trading and rebalancing platform. Eclipse trading constantly monitors portfolios to offer smart and timely rebalancing and tax-loss harvesting suggestions.
How does the Orion Eclipse x Pontera integration work?
Pontera sends Orion fund-level data (fund lineup, fact sheets, expense ratios) to create Restricted Plans in Orion Eclipse. Users can leverage these plans to include Pontera-held accounts in models and generate rebalances. Eclipse then provides the option to export up to 100 rebalances in one file that can be imported back into Pontera, to communicate to the recordkeepers.
What type of data does Pontera pass to Orion?
Pontera delivers standard account data to Orion, including accounts, positions, transactions, securities, and prices, three times per day. Pontera also sends plan-related data to Eclipse via API, such as fund details, classifications, expense ratios, and fact sheet URLs daily.
